it's been a surreal couple of months. more and more i've been turning to the digital world as physical spaces have become less accessible - this album is a little homage to those virtual spaces that allow us to escape for a little while.

this project started out of necessity: unable to work on projects that required a little more intricate mix and sound design work due to a broken pair of headphones and burnt out from stress, i turned to a format that was a little simpler for me to write in. to me, that's kind of in line with the spirit of chiptune: as a genre, it's all about working within the limitations imposed on you (be it by hardware, software, whatever) to push the boundaries of the medium.

honestly, it hasn't been easy. i'm still feeling the burnout, working in little bursts when i find it in me, and yet i think these tracks showcase some of my best writing. i'm proud of it, and all i can hope for is that it resonates with a couple of y'all.
