i woke from a dream one morning with my head swimming with ideas: a winding path through the forest, the title 'roots,' a pulsing triplet synth line opening the song. at one point, i shared an early version of the track with FLOOR BABA (floorbaba.bandcamp.com), who spun a solo and some additional parts that breathed new life into it. i'm immensely proud of this collaboration, and i think it's a good indicator of the direction my sound is headed. wherever that may be, i thank everyone who's been listening in the five years i've been releasing music as lavande and i hope you share in my excitement for what's to come.
